RCS Campaign

    An RCS (Rich Communication Services) campaign leverages the capabilities of RCS messaging to create engaging, interactive, and media-rich communication experiences for customers.

    RCS is a next-generation messaging protocol that enhances traditional SMS with features such as rich cards, and real-time engagement.


  • Key Features of an RCS Campaign:
    • 1. Enhanced Media Support: Send high-quality images, GIFs, audio, and videos directly within messages.
    • 2. Rich Interactivity: Include buttons for quick responses, links, and actions (e.g., "Buy Now" or "Learn More").
    • 3. Real-Time Updates: Deliver notifications or alerts with read receipts, typing indicators, and delivery confirmations.
    • 4. Personalization: Tailor messages with dynamic content based on customer data, preferences, or behavior.
    • 5. Integration with Chatbots: Use AI-powered chatbots for automated responses and interactive customer service.

  • Example Use Cases:
    • Retail: Showcase new collections, offer personalized product recommendations, or send promotions.
    • Travel: Share boarding passes, itineraries, and updates about flights or bookings.

  • RCS Channel
  • Step 1: Navigate to RCS Channel Setup
    • 1. Go to Channels → Google RCS and click on Add Channel

  • Step 2: Add Channel Details
    • 1 Add Title: Provide a name for your RCS channel.
    • 2 RCS Agent: Enter the RCS agent details.
    • 3 RCS ID: Provide the RCS ID associated with the agent.
    • 4 Provider: Select one of the following providers:
      • Routemobile
      • Google RCS

  • Step 3: Select Billing Category
  • Choose the appropriate billing category for the channel:

    • Authentication
    • Promotional
    • Transaction

  • Step 4: Specify Carrier
  • Select the carrier(s) to associate with the channel:

    • Vodafone
    • BSNL
    • Airtel
    • Jio


  • Step 5: Create the Channel
    • 1. Review the details you’ve entered.
    • 2. Click on Create Channel to finalize the setup.

  • RCS Template
  • Step 1: Navigate to RCS Campaigns
    • 1. From the side panel, go to Campaign → RCS → Create New Template.



  • Step 2: Customize the Template
  • 1. Add Title: Provide a title for your template.

    2. Choose Template Type: Select one of the following options:

    • Text: Displays a simple text-based message.
    • Rich Card: Includes an image, title, description, and actions.
    • Carousel: Displays a horizontally scrollable set of rich cards.

  • Step 3: Select Channel
    • Choose the appropriate communication channel for your campaign.

  • Step 4: Select Template Category
    • Promotional: For promotional campaigns.
    • Marketing: For marketing purposes.
    • Authentication: For verification or authentication-related communication.

  • Step 5: Define Message Context
    • Add the content and customize it to meet your campaign requirements.

  • Step 6: Add Suggestions

    Include one or more of the following suggestion types:

    • Reply: Sends a predefined response to the user.
    • URL: Opens a link to a specified web page.
    • Phone: Initiates a phone call to a provided number.
    • Location (Latitude/Longitude): Provides exact geographic coordinates.
    • View Location (Query): Displays a location based on a search query.
    • Share Location: Shares the user’s current location.
    • Calendar Event: Adds an event to the user’s calendar.

  • RCS Template Analytics
  • Monitor the performance of your RCS Template through the following metrics:

    • Uploaded Recipients: Total recipients uploaded for the process.
    • Sent to Operator: Total messages sent to the operator for delivery.
    • Successful Count: Messages successfully sent to recipients.
    • Failed Count: Messages that failed to send.
    • Delivered Count: Messages successfully delivered to recipients.
    • Read Count: Messages read by recipients.
    • Unread Count: Delivered messages that remain unread.
    • Total Response Count: Total responses received from recipients.
    • Success Rate: Percentage of successful deliveries relative to total sent.


  • RCS Scheduled Campaign Analytics
    • Go to the Actions Tab under your campaign.
    • Select View Stats to analyze the performance and detailed insights of your scheduled campaign.
